The clock is ticking.

The great lakes make up 20% of the planets fresh water. They are at historical low levels, not records, but very near the lowest we can find in the geologic record. Politicians from the South and Southeast United States are very seriously scheming up ways to get water from the great lakes states. The most frieghtening potential loophole is that NAFTA may require the great lake's water to be sold to the highest bidder.

The amazing part is that Wisconsin is the only state to not even introduce the great lakes compact as potential legislation.

Please contact your legislaters and tell them to do comething useful, or maybe just do anything! It is unnaceptable that our legislature is so pathetically inactive.
